Dairy products, are they safe to eliminate or not? And what are the side effects once you do decide to eliminate? An age-old argument that has yet to be solved. The new food table has dairy as a sub field instead of a main element. But, what does this mean for dairy? There are many, many opinions on this very topic, and even more “experts”. Who do you listen to?
An easier conversation is what to expect when you eliminate dairy. When I first tried to eliminate dairy I was unaware of all the possible changes that could happen along the process and therefore, it caused me to fail on more than one occasion. Most side effects were good, and some, one in particular, posed to be a pretty embarrassing reaction. However, knowing these reactions, good and bad, will help you achieve a diary free life.
My positive side effects consisted of weight loss, elimination of daily medication, ceasing of stomach ailments, the regulation of bowl movements, and more energy throughout the day. My negatived side effect …. GAS! However, after adjusting my diet, that too subsided. Understanding all the possible side effects and how to manage them will be key to the success of your dairy free life.
